 Necklace: Jordan Askill
Dress: Shakuhachi
Watch: Swatch, Watch
Both Shoes: Shakuhachi
Handbag: Shakuhaci
Hat: Dotti

You can never go wrong with a good LBD. My current LBD is from Shakuhachi's Winter '13 collection. It is sleek, sexy and simple.

I love the cheeky cut out panels on the waist and the large split up the front. This takes it from a workplace dress to an after hours dress.

I like it with both my lace up booties and my gladiator, calf length heels - I can't decide!! For a more relaxed and edgy vibe I added my wide brimmed black hat. You can't go wrong looking like a rockstar!

Pretty In Pink

Sunglasses: Pared Eyewear
Top: Ellery
Skirt: Ellery
Shoes: Shakuhachi
Watch: Swatch Watch
Necklace: Sportsgirl

Sometimes you just want to feel pretty and that is exactly what I feel like in my 'Ellery' pastel pink sheer shirt and skirt. All day I floated around twirling and playing with my full circle skirt!

The sheer organza is just beautiful and makes the outfit edgy and modern. For a more casual look I wore the full circle skirt on my hips rather than my waist. The gold band on the skirt matched the gold brocade on my 'Shakuhachi' booties perfectly.

Hey, even my 'Pared Eyewear' have pink reflector lenses. Completely pretty in pink!

Denim on Denim

 Shirt: Minkpink
Jeans: Ksubi
Shoes: Shakuhachi
Handbag: Zara
Watch: Swatch Watch
Sunglasses: Pared Eyewear

The classic combination of denim on denim really never gets old. There is just something so relaxed yet so sophisticated about the look! Plus, there are always new, more amazing denim pieces to piece together.

On a side note - sorry in advance for every post featuring my amazing Shakuhachi 'Brocade Lace Up Booties' ... I just can't seem to take them off my feet!

Plaid

 Sunglasses: Pared Eyewear
Shirt: Cotton On
Skirt: Romance Was Born
Shoes: Kenzo
Handbag: Zara

I love a little bit of plaid but I find it a bit of a tricky trend. I feel the garment has to be well structured and sophisticated. You have to be extremely careful not to go overboard and look like a construction worker (if that is not the look you are going for).

Sometimes it is fun just to have a hint of a trend in your outfit. My 'Romance Was Born' skirt is the perfect example. The blue plaid pockets and waist band on my metallic skirt are a fun alternative to an entirely plaid skirt. Plus who doesn't love a metallic gold, pleated mini!?

I teamed my skirt with a 'Cotton On' printed, tailored shirt. The colours matched perfectly with my skirt. As there was already a lot going on with several different patterns so my accessories were kept to a minimum. I just added my 'Kenzo' flats for a little bit of sophistication!

Cinderella

Dress: Born In June

Sometimes you just want to feel and dress like a Princess and yesterday was one of those days! Mind you, I was the grungiest Princess I have ever seen. Ok, the only real Cinderella aspect of my outfit was the silver, puffy, chiffon sleeves on my dress. With the navy shift dress, silver platform cons and the location of the shot I really fitted in well with the underground crowd.

I aptly name yesterday's look 'Princess of the Underworld'!

Spots and Stripes

Top: Minkpink
Pants: Love Couture - Venice, CA
Boots: Margiela
Sunglasses: Sportsgirl + DIY
Watch: Swatch Watch

I decided to go with the classic combination of spots and stripes today. The black and white colour scheme counterbalance the combination of my striped top and spotty pants. No accessories were needed!

I hold a dear place in my heart for my sheer, flared pants. I picked them up last time I was in Venice, CA for $10. Nothing like a good sentimental bargain!

New Shades

I know I change my sunglasses like I change my underwear so it is no surprise I have added yet another pair to my collection. I believe you can tell a person's style by their shades. I recently purchased a pair of Pared Eyewear's 'puss and boots' sunglasses. Everything is better in a pair - super cute that every style is named after a famous duo! What makes these black cat eyes even better is the pink reflector lenses and bonus when I get over the reflector fad I have plain black lenses that I can replace them with.

Bomber: Zara
Dress: Zara
Skivvy: Unknown
Boots: Margiela
Watch: Swatch Watch
Sunglasses: Pared Eyewear
Necklace: DIY

My houndstooth and leather shift dress has been a staple in my Winter wardrobe for several years now. Year in and year out houndstooth never ceases to make a reappearance in my wardrobe. Today I mixed it up with a floral "Zara" bomber, a black skivvy, my DIY necklace and my "Margiela" boots.
